Dr. Cacie Wrye graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2015 and has been treating patients hands on ever since. She got into chiropractic by first working at the front desk of a chiropractic office. Seeing the personal patient/doctor relationship that chiropractors often get to have, seeing patients as more than names on charts and witnessing real progress with the patient was the type of care she wanted to provide patients. Dr. Wrye has been working with Cutitta Chiropractic since 2016, and in 2018, she opened our Greenfield location where she is currently located. In just over a year of business, Dr. Wrye has treated many patients, both new and returning for various injuries, but she regards them all with the same philosophy.
In her own words, “I believe that chiropractic is SO much more than adjustments alone. The wear and tear of everyday life affects your whole body. Many of your joints can be affected, which is why I examine every joint, from your jaw to your toes. The muscles and bones work as one unit. If you do not address both components, then you are not completely fixing the problem. I do a lot of muscle work to relieve tightness and tenderness. I do gua sha to treat acute and chronic injuries. I use KT in the office. I use a technique called nerve flossing to treat numbness and pain. I believe in rehabilitative exercises and stretches to fix the imbalances in the muscles.” Dr. Wrye's care has an emphasis on communication -- she wants to hear how patients are feeling between and during appointments and her treatments are driven by not only progress she sees, but by what patients tell her they are experiencing. She is also an excellent educator and takes the time to explain every treatment she does, every step of the way, so patients understand what is being done and how it is helping.
In her spare time, Dr. Wrye is an avid runner and has been for the last 4 years. Since then, she has had 3 surgeries. The surgeries taught her the importance of proper injury rehabilitation before returning to running, and even regular physical activity in general. So far, she has participated in 4 marathons; however, she anticipated to participate in many more – she understands the frustrations involved with having an injury that holds you back from your passions and goals.
